“Digital Marketing” can be referred to as strategy followed by an offshore product development company to promote its brand through digital channels of communication via mobile phones and the internet. These channels can be short message system or SMS (text message), digital videos and mobile multi-media system or MMS along with other interactive media modes. The journey of Digital marketing started with the usage of internet. The digital marketing includes various aspects such as video marketing, user generated content, pay per impression, pay per click, search engine optimization, micro blogging, social networking-mail marketing etc. This is just a very small list and there are many more to include in the list. The other traditional digital marketing channels include TV and radio.

 

Digital marketing can be classified into two parts, the pull marketing and the push marketing. People who respond to pull marketing are those who pull up the information required by just typing a series of commands and then forwarding it to a network provider's automated number using their mobile phones. People can pull up any information they need as and when they want and there is no need for any subscription. On the other hand, push digital marketing involves the interaction between the consumer and the company by exchanging text messages.

 

Now, let’s discuss “Mobile Marketing”. Mobile phone promotion or Mobile marketing is the one of the way of advertisement in which the online marketers take benefit of mobile phones in order to promote their brand. Since the mobiles have captured the market completely, mobile marketing is also dominating over the other channels of marketing. According to Media, the mobile software development companies have shown that mobile marketing has grown 45 percent in 2008 compared to 11 percent growth in on-line marketing recently. By this we can very judge that mobile marketing is expected to grow significantly even faster than the web.

 

Mobile marketing develops a sort of intimate relationship with the customer. According to a study, respondents perceive mobile marketing as a meeting point between consumer and the brand and think it offers the brand modernity, innovation, differentiation and leadership. New text message marketing tactics allow a business to manage client communications, potentially allowing many ongoing offers by SMS message marketing.

 

Mobile marketing is still relatively young and, has huge potential to grow even more than it already has. Mobile and digital marketing can be combined seamlessly and provides ease of access to the ads whenever and wherever they choose.

 

At the end we can say that today, if managed properly, these marketing tools can serve as the most cost-effective, time-savvy and the easiest way by which a company can reach to its potential buyers and get an increase in its sales graph.
