Is Global Office Furniture Eco Friendly? Is Global Office Furniture Eco Friendly?

Global office furniture is a manufacturing company which was established in 1966 in Toronto, Canada by Saul Feldberg and Bill Kemeny. Their initial challenge was to produce an office chair that the ordinary man in the street could afford to buy. With a small number of employees and some skills and determination they set to work and achieved their goal. The company has now grown to be the sixth largest furniture manufacturer in the world and one of the biggest in Canada.

Global are recognised world wide as one of the firms that has revolutionized the furniture market. It has maintained its high quality standards and they have a diverse range of styles for clients to choose from. Perhaps more important, they supply all types of stylish furniture for an office at a reasonable price and give a fast delivery guarantee, that is usually three to four days.

Global furniture for the office is manufactured in a variety of materials, colours and styles and can be designed and built to customers specification. All their furniture is designed to appeal and look attractive. It is easy to build up and to keep clean. Desks and workstations all have built in discreet cable management facilities, to hide all those unsightly cables and wires. Work stations, in particular can be adjusted with ease to suit the end user and comply with regulations governing computer use.

Global employ a fully qualified ergonomic specialist who provides the designers with advice and guidance on the design of the furniture and on its suitability for its intended use in the workplace.

Environmental issues are an important concern when manufacturing furniture. The furniture manufacturing industry like all others is required to comply with current legislation on environmental issues. Recycling waste products and using them in manufacture of parts for the new furniture is a process that saves the company energy and money.

What is now referred to and certified as green furniture for offices, is made from recycled materials from renewable and sustainable resources. The manufacturing process is strictly regulated to ensure the correct manufacturing process is adhered to. The percentage of materials which are green and have been used in the manufacture may not always add up to hundred percent. The full one hundred percent green products will be more expensive but worth it, for a good quality piece of furniture.

Some office furniture may be Greenguard certified. This certification means that they have been built with materials and processes that act as a safeguard and protect the indoor air quality. Using Greenguard certified product helps to achieve points in the Green Building Rating System which reflects how eco friendly a building is.

So to sum up, Global office furniture who nowadays employ over eight thousand people world wide are a furniture manufacturer and distributor. The company was founded with the aim of being able to provide affordable but quality office furniture for all. They have achieved that aim and continue to design, develop and manufacture to provide products which are kind to our environment.
