Now Presenting The Top Of All High End Vacation Cruises --- Royal Caribbean's Oasis Of The SeasNow Presenting The Top Of All High End Vacation Cruises --- Royal Caribbean's Oasis Of The Seas

Oasis is regarded as a class of luxury cruise ship designed by Royal Caribbean International --- the largest passenger cruise ships across the globe. Two such ships were bought at the beginning of 2006, and Royal Caribbean began developing on a couple of the world's most remarkable luxury cruise liners, Allure of the Seas and Oasis of the Seas. Allure is currently under construction; nevertheless Oasis was finished during 2009. Oasis is anticipated to join up with her sister ship by this year, but for the moment, she stands alone as the largest vessel sailing and of course the jewel inside the Royal Caribbean fleet.

The preceding largest vacation cruise ship was in fact the Freedom-class cruise ships of Royal Caribbean. The Freedom-class ships were 1,111 feet long and 208 feet high and were like towns on the ocean. But the Oasis of the Seas is even bigger, 1,181 feet of length and 236 feet in height, like a floating city along with even more space. It definitely has a lot more stores and places to eat than your average shopping center.

Oasis of the Seas was designed for sense of balance. Astonishingly, merely 30 feet of the ship sits underneath the water. It is so vast that the displacement is well distributed, enhancing the ship to handle waves. Typically the ship's displacement is around 100,000 tons and its weight is unbelievable exceeding 225 thousand gross tons.

With a weight almost similar to an aircraft carrier suggests that it will take a lot to drive the Oasis of the Seas. In an effort to power this beast, 6 individual diesel powered motors are used and combined into three 16-cylinder diesels producing in excess of 25,000 horsepower each. On top of that, these engines need to power the cruise liner's movements and Oasis needs to create massive levels of electricity in order to power the many electronic and digital parts, elevators, a drinking water treatment plant, and far, more.

The features onboard are simply extraordinary. For anyone who's never been on a large cruise liner, the experience is really like visiting a portable shopping center. You'll find a karaoke club, a comedy club, volleyball plus basketball courts, several pools, a modern casino, a mini-golf course, and a lot more. Oasis offers all entertainment and fitness locations broken down into seven neighborhoods:

  • The Central Park
  • The Pool and Sports Zone
  • The Vitality at Sea Spa and Fitness Center
  • The Boardwalk
  • The Royal Promenade
  • The Youth Zone and Science Lab
  • The Entertainment Place

Oasis of the Seas has 16 decks and will transport a total of 6,300 voyagers at rates of speed up to 22.6 knots. There are also two-story loft luxury packages aboard, providing guests with 1,600 square feet of living space.
