Be careful on keeping your weight in check during your pregnancy. Gaining too many pregnancy pounds can pose health risks down the road, and they can be tough to shed after the baby is born. Average weight women should expect to gain between 15 and 30 pounds during the entire course of pregnancy.

You should join up with a pregnancy class when you're first expecting. Getting this information in a classroom setting helps you prepare no matter what issues may arise during your pregnancy. You should encourage the father to come with you so he can ask questions too.
