Grand Canyon Helicopters 5 Tips For Great FlightsGrand Canyon Helicopters 5 Tips For Great Flights

Preparing to visit the Grand Canyon this spring? Congratulations! You're going to enjoy an experience that you'll appreciate for a lifetime. And in the spirit of making your flight even better, I took a moment to write up five tips that anyone can leverage at a moment's notice.

RSVP

My fist tip is this: Book your tour in advance. This is so important, especially during spring and summer peak travel times. I recommend doing it right after you book your hotel room. If that's impossible, then at least two weeks prior to your flight date.

Never book 24 hours before flight time or on the same day. Two things can happen: 1) the flight you want is sold out; and 2) the price has jumped up, which, just like conventional airlines, will almost predictably happen. Note this and don't be the person who pays a premium or can't get airborne.

My #2 tip is book online. It's safe, simple, and convenient. But most importantly, you get access to the best tours. These days, you can purchase your tour over your mobile phone or your PC or your tablet. Use the one that works best for you.

Internet Discount

However, to get the Internet discount rate, you MUST complete the booking online in order to qualify for it. After you submit your online order, wait a few minutes for the voucher to arrive in your in-box. Then, if you have additional questions, see me in chat or call customer service.

My third tip is to take a landing tour from Las Vegas. Flights that go to the bottom and land are only available from this location and are incredibly unique and exciting. If you have the budget, add a boat ride down the Colorado River or tickets to the Grand Canyon Skywalk.

My #5 tip is always take a deluxe tour. Again, this will depend on your budget, but seriously try to do everything you can to upgrade to deluxe. It's worth every penny. This is true because you take off from the Las Vegas Strip; if you go basic, there's a chance you leave from the Vegas suburbs of Henderson and Boulder City.

Superior Helicopter

Deluxe tours include free limousine pick up and drop off at your hotel (basic uses a mini bus). Further, deluxe tours exclusively use the EcoStar 130 helicopter. This superior chopper is 25% bigger than normal helis and comes with a massive 180-degree windshield and stadium-style bucket seats.

Lastly, all deluxe tours departing from Vegas do an extended tour over the Las Vegas Strip, starting from the top by the Stratosphere Tower down to the bottom past the famous Luxor Pyramid. Frankly, folks, this bird's eye view of The Strip is the only way to experience it in my opinion.

Conclusion

I hope this article on the 5 tips for superior Grand Canyon helicopter tours was helpful enough for you to plan your trip. Have a great day and hope to see you airborne over the Canyon.
