Las Vegas Grand Canyon Airplane Tours - 5 Hot TipsLas Vegas Grand Canyon Airplane Tours - 5 Hot Tips

One of the quickest ways to get to the Grand Canyon is by airplane. And from Las Vegas, you have a choice of going to the West Rim and the South Rim. To make sure your flight is the best it can be, I wrote up these 5 tips. Act on any of them and I'm confident you'll have a much better trip.

Book in Advance

My first tip is to reserve your tour online. Best-case scenario is to buy it right after you book your hotel rooms. If you can't do that, then two weeks in advance. Worse case scenario is booking 24 hours prior to flight time or on the same day. Do either and you'll either pay more or won't fly at all because the flights are sold out.

Tip #2 is buy your tour over the Internet. This is because that's where all the low prices and special promotions are. In fact, there are times when you can save up to 35% on select trips throughout the year. Of course, buying online is convenient, safe and secure, but, in my opinion, getting a great deal trumps all that.

My third tip is take the Vegas plane tour that goes to the West Rim and comes with Skywalk tickets. Why? Because it's cheaper. For sure, the basic version of this tour without the Skywalk is a total bargain. But after you see the Skywalk, you're going to want to do it and that will end up costing you more than if you had simply bundled the Skywalk into tour during online checkout.

Vegas South Rim Direct

My fourth tip is to take the Vegas to South Rim tour. Why? Because it's the fastest way to get there. By comparison, if you go by ground (your car or bus), it will take you 5.5 hours to travel the 277 miles to get to the South Rim. But if you fly, it takes only 60 minutes. Further, you can add a 30-minute helicopter tour to the package that goes from South Rim to the North Rim and back. Nothing tops this package.

My fifth tip is to purchase the window seat upgrade. The cost is just $10 for a window seat and you'll want this as you fly to the Park with the Canyon on your left going to it and on your right going back from it back to Vegas. Sure, you can skip paying the 10 bucks and leave it to fate but it's so darn cheap that I'm recommending that all travelers go for it.

Conclusion

I hope this article on 5 tips that make Las Vegas airplane tours cheaper helped you plan your vacation. If you need more info, stop by my site and let's Live Chat. I'm usually on during the day and am happy to answer your questions regarding Canyon air tours and more. Just remember: Book these plane tours in advance. They sell out especially during the summer months and you don't want to be stranded on the ground when you could be airborne enjoying the flight of a lifetime.
