Science has made so much of progress over the years that you can change your body structure in a matter of time. If you are really worried about your body weight, the solution is Full Abdominoplasty procedure. Weight loss procedure has become common now. If you want to lose the weight from the abdomen area, full Abdominoplasty is the best option now. Let us first discuss what full Abdominoplasty is all about?

A full Abdominoplasty will tighten the abdominal muscles that have loosened up. If you want to undergo full Abdominoplasty procedure, you should have good overall health. These are certain pointers for qualifying for the surgery:

  • You should have a stable weight.
  • You should have extra abdominal skin, muscle weakness or both.
  • You can’t undertake the procedure during pregnancy.
  • Undertaking the procedure is not suggested if you are suffering from serious medical conditions.
  • The procedure is not good for you if you are emotionally not stable

Full Abdominoplasty procedures are performed in a hospital by infusing general anesthesia. After the patient is infused with anesthesia, the surgeon makes incision around the abdomen area. Working through the incision, the surgeon separates the skin from the abdominal wall all the way up to your ribs. The surgeon thereafter tightens the muscles close together and stitches them in their new position. This gives a firmer abdominal wall and narrows the waistline. The excess skin is also removed to give a firm body contour.

Incisions are closed by making sutures once the surgery gets over. The procedure takes a couple of hours to perform and you need to stay for a night in the hospital. You will be under observation after the surgery for a day. The surgeon will place tubes into your incision to draw fluid from it. The area will be covered with surgical dressing and compression garment. The sutures will be removed in a week when returning to your surgeon for follow-ups.

There might be some soreness or tenderness after the surgery is done. The surgeon will provide you medicines to minimize that tenderness.
