Various Types Of MassageVarious Types Of Massage

One way to relax and forget about stress and body pains is through the help of massage. People are not robot and that means we need to take care of our well-being because we are very much vulnerable to pain and stress. Working hard is good but of course you also need to know when it is time to take a break. If you have been so dedicated in your work, a good massage is a perfect prize for you. Did you know that there are lots of massage types that you can choose from? Here are some examples of these massages.

1. Swedish Massage Therapy - this is one of the most popular and favourite kind of massage in the United States. This involves long and smooth strokes that will surely ease the pain in your back as well as in the other parts of your body. This is recommended especially for first timers because this type of massage is really gentle and very relaxing.

2. Deep Tissue Massage - this kind of massage targets the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissues. This is perfect for very tight muscles or to correct posture. This is why athletes or anyone who suffered injury with their muscles usually opt to have deep tissue massage. The massage therapist usually uses slower strokes to really target the layers of muscle that needs attention. When you undergo this kind of massage, it is normal that you will feel sore for 1 or 2 days but you will surely feel and see the difference afterwards.

3. Shiatsu - this is a form of Japanese bodywork that uses rhythmic sequence on acupuncture meridians. Usually, a point is held for 2 to 8 seconds to improve the flow of energy and improve body balance. What's good about shiatsu is that it is very relaxing yet you can really feel the firm pressure plus there will be no soreness afterwards. You will definitely regain back your energy and high spirit after experiencing shiatsu massage.

4. Thai massage - another popular type of massage because of the relaxation the person feels afterwards. Like shiatsu, Thai massage involves aligning the energies of the body by using gentle pressure on specific area or point. This massage also involves stretching and compression. This is like yoga without you needing to move around because the massage therapist will be the one to move and stretch your body to feel the flexibility of muscle. This could be more energizing than any other kinds of massage because of the fact that your body stretches and compressed. This will surely take away the stress that you may be feeling. So for hard working people out there who feel the need to relax, Thai massage is definitely recommended.

5. Back massage - one of the most common areas where you feel the pain is back so back massage is usually offered by various spa salons and massage clinics. Usually this can last from 30 to 40 minutes.

Now, maybe it is the best time to pick the type of massage that will make you feel good. It is advisable to treat our body for some pampering once in a while.
