Ureaplasma infection is a type of sexually transmitted disease (STD), which is usually caused by ureaplasma bacteria. Ureaplasma infection affects both male and female in there genital parts. Ureaplasma is very contagious and easily be transfer from sexual contact. It can also spread from infected person saliva, blood, and breastfeeding.

Symptoms Of Ureaplasma

  • Burning sensation while urination
  • Pain while urination
  • Discharge
  • Fatigue
  • Dyspareunia
  • Redness and inflammation around genital area in women

How To Treat Ureaplasma Infection Naturally

Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree oil contains antibacterial properties in it which help in treating ureaplasma infection. The concentration of tea tree oil in very high so dilute it before using it.

  • Take a tsp of coconut oil and add few drops of tea tree oil in it
  • Apply this solution directly to the affected area.
  • Repeat this treatment thrice a day.


It contains antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Due to these properties, it helps to reduce the symptoms of ureaplasma infection (inflammation and burning sensation).

Take 1 tablespoon barley and cook it for 10-15 minutes. Then strain and drink it

Apple Cider Vinegar

Due to the acidic nature of apple cider vinegar, it balances the pH level and makes the environment unfavorable for the growth of ureaplasma. ACV is the most effective remedy which helps in the treatment of naturally occurring ureaplasma.

  • Take the same amount of apple cider vinegar and water.
  • Mix it properly and apply it to the affected area.
  • Repeat this treatment twice a day.

Cabbage Leaves

It is one the best one treatment for ureaplasma infection and people follow this remedy from 100 of years. Cabbage leave reduces the burning sensation caused due to ureaplasma infection.

Just take cabbage leave and cover it with some piece of cloth. Then place that cloth in your underwear and leave it for overnight.

Fenugreek Seeds

Fenugreek seed is good in maintaining the Ph level in the vagina. It also used to promote immunity.

  • Take teaspoons of seeds and soak it in water overnight.
  • Strain it and drink the water on empty stomach.
  • Repeat this remedy every day for one month


As we know very well that yogurt contains very beneficial bacteria known as lactobacillus. These bacteria kill the bacteria which cause ureaplasma infection. Just take yogurt and apply it directly to the affected area. Leave it for half-an-hour and then wash it off with cold water.

Indian Lilac

Indian lilac is best known as neem. It contains anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties as well as substantial antibacterial effects.

  • Take a handful of Indian Lilac leaves and heat them in a pan.
  • When it cools down, make a fine powder of it using a grinder.
  • Then prepare a paste of it by adding some water.
  • Use this paste around the genital area and leave it for 30 minutes.
  • Then wash it off with lukewarm water.
  • Repeat this twice a day.

Oregano Oil

Oregano oil contains anti-inflammatory which helps in treating ureaplasma infection. The oil is full of minerals including iron, calcium, zinc, copper, and manganese. It is also rich in thymol, which is also a right antibiotic.

  • Take three drops of oregano oil and mix it in a one tsp of olive oil.
  • Apply this mixture directly to the affected area and leave it for few hours.

Alternative remedy

  • You can also use a mixture of oregano oil and a cup of warm water.
  • Drink this super tonic twice a day until you get rid of ureaplasma infection

Prevention Of Ureaplasma Infection

  • Drink 10-12 glass of water
  • Stop smoking
  • Wear cotton undergarment
  • Avoid oily and spicy food
  • Avoid food with high sugar           
  • Use condom while having intercourse
